Former Florida State head football coach Bobby Bowden gave the command for the driver's to Start Their Engines! Matt Kenseth led the opening lap. Three of my favorite NASCAR drivers are in the race, the #48 of Jimmie Johnson, the #99 of Carl Edwards, and the number #11 of Denny Hamlin. I hope one of my guy's win. After 44 laps, Martin Truex leads the race, followed by Greg Biffel. Then Biffel took the lead, followed by Matt Kenseth. Truex, Kasey Kahne and Ryan Newman. Biffel continues to lead after 76 laps at Daytona. The first caution of the race came when the #22 of Sam Hornish Jr. got a flat tire and ripped the side off the car. A crash occurred on lap 97: Kurt Busch in the #51 lost control of his car and clipped Trevor Bayne in the #21. The #42 of Juan Pablo Montoya ran into the #11 of Denny Hamlin. The Top 3 are Kenseth, Biffel and Jeff Gordon. It was a battle to the finish with a crash involvingJimmie Johnson who was currently 32nd, the #24 of Jeff Gordon, the #50 of Bill Elliott also crashed, Regan Smith and Joey Logano. Tony Stewart now has the lead in the race, over Denny Hamlin and the #18 of Kyle Busch and Kasey Kahne. Brad Keslowski got wrecked when he was running 13th on the track. In the last 12 laps, Trevor Bayne was involved in his second wreck of the night. Clint Boyer, Juan Pablo Montoya, Casey Mears, Paul Menard and Marcus Ambrose all wrecked.
