The story of Taylor Swift

September 25, 2012 - John Zirbs
Taylor Swift was born in Pennsylvania on a Christmas Tree Farm.

She started singing at age two. When she was nine, she won a school poetry contest and when she was 12, she put her poetic words to music.

The first show she saw was LeeAnn Rimes when she was 8. Rimes was the one who introduced her to country music.

Taylor sang at festivals and Karaoke contests. When she was 11, she and her family moved to Nashville, where she was looking for a record deal. She did not get one with RCA records but, when she was 16, she struck a deal with Big Machine Records.

Her first single, "Tim McGraw," rose to high standards on the charts. She wrote songs like "Our Song" and "Love Story" at home.

She has won lots and lots of awards in her career. She went from country hopeful to pop music megastar.

She now has a cat named Meredith who keeps her company when she is at home. Her first musical crush was Justin Timberlake.

She has a new perfume called "Wonderstruck." Taylor loves to perform to those who come to her shows around the country and around the world. Taylor has a wonderful future ahead of her.

Way to go, Taylor! I love you!
