2013 BCS National Championship

The 2013 BCS National Championship game was at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Florida. Featuring the #1 Notre Dame Fighting Irish against #2 Alabama Crimson Tide. The game was sponsored by Discover Card and Dr. Pepper. It was Nick Saban against Brian Kelly; which coaches team will prevail? Who will take home the BCS trophy? Tuscaloosa or South Bend? The only way Alabama is going to win is with the ghost of Paul "Bear" Bryant. If Notre Dame is going to win, they need the ghosts of Notre Dame's football past including the Four Horsemen. Johnny Lujack, Paul Horning, Knute Rockne, George Gippard, Ara Parsegian, Ross Browner, Joe Theisman and the rest of Notre Dame's alumni. The Zac Brown Band performed the National Anthem.

In the 1st Quarter: Tide completed a pass for 29 yards. Eddie Lacy #42 scored the first touchdown of the night. Tide lead 7 to 0.

The Crimson Tide lead the Irish 14 to 0. The Irish fumbled on their opening possession and Alabama recovered, but the receivers knee was down before he fumbled. Irish kept the ball after the review of the play. Bama was threatening to get another score. The first quarter ended with Alabama leading Notre Dame 14 to 0.
