Daytona 500 2013

Danica Patrick was on the pole for the start of the race along with Jeff Gordon. The Zac Brown Band performed for the crowd at the Daytona International Raceway. Each driver was introduced followed by the most famous words in motorsports, "Drivers and Danica, start your engines!"

Danica was in 3rd at the start of the race behind Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson. It was anybody's race to win. Patrick drives the #10 GoDaddy.com. Chevrolet, during the race. There were wrecks and cautions because of debris on the track. Danica led lap 90 in the race, moving as far back as 8th in the race.

Carl Edwards wrecked in Lap 138. Brad Keslowski has the lead under caution with 20 laps to go.

Johnson took the lead with 12 laps to go. With 6 laps to go, Johnson was in the lead, Biffle was 2nd and Patrick 3rd. Johnson lead with 1 lap to go, and Johnson got the checkered flag to win the Great American Race. Pole sitter Patrick finished in 8th place.
