The community is invited to a concert by the Buckhannon Chamber Orchestra on Sunday at 3 p.m. in Wesley Chapel on the campus of West Virginia Wesleyan College. Dr.

Carlene Chidester of Rock Cave recently received the West Virginia Wesleyan Junior Nursing Award for Academic Excellence. She is a nursing major and psychology and human biology minor.

Allison Cornell of Buckhannon has been named the Outstanding Five-Year MBA Student at West Virginia Wesleyan College. She received the award at the college’s annual awards program on April 20.

David Withersty, proprietor of the Pleasing to the Eye Art Gallery at 13 Meade St. in Buckhannon, was the featured speaker for the April meeting of the Buckhannon Women’s Club. His topic was “face jugs.
