Mountain Hospice Offers Several Types of Care and Support
Staff Writer
Mountain Hospice was established in 1991 in Barbour county under the name The Hospice of Barbour County and in 1994 the name was changed to Mountain Hospice. It was started by a group of caring citizens who recognized the need of people in the community who were dying of terminal diseases who were often left alone and isolated.
The group formed and, through hard work, Mountain Hospice grew and expanded to provide hospice services to a growing number of terminally ill patients and their families. The group now covers six counties including Barbour, Randolph, Tucker, Pendleton, Pocahontas and Grant.
One of the programs Mountain Hospice offers is bereavement programs to people who have lost a loved one. » Full Story
