Autumn on the Dryfork

(CU?and The Inter-Mountain/Casey Hedrick) AUTUMN?CELEBRATION — Several hundred people made their way to Autumn on the Dryfork Saturday to hear local entertainment, sample apple butter and apple cider, bid in a silent auction and see a pet show. According to Phyllis Yokum, an event organizer, the weather was good, as was the turnout. At left, A student from the Mountain School adds apples to the cider press. Below right, Dryfork Assembly of God Pastor Rick Lewellen weaves a belt out of wool and buffalo fiber with an inkle loom while his wife, Melissa, spins wool to make yarn on the spinning wheel.
