MORGANTOWN — It’s pretty much a wait-and-see situation for West Virginia quarterback Patrick White, who missed most of the second half against Rutgers on Saturday after being hit in the head. That’s what Coach Bill Stewart said Sunday afternoon in his weekly press conference after the usual day-after study of game tapes. “Pat does not have a concussion,” he explained. “He was just a little woozy. He had his strength and both his long and short memory was good. We just held him out for precautionary reasons.” Stewart said he kept check on the senior signal-caller every hour Saturday evening with a phone call to White’s parents, who were in town for the game and to spend time with both Patrick and Coley, a freshman who is redshirted this year. The family attended an outing Saturday evening. “Patrick should be at practice tonight,” the coach continued. “He’s such a competitor. Hopefully, he should be very much fine by this weekend.
