Dorothy May Nottingham, 90, of Durbin, passed away Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, in Valentine Assisted Care Living Center at Beverly.

(CU and The Inter-Mountain/Andrew Davis) WINNER — Elkins High School’s Letitia Propst captured the Mountain State Forest Festival Invitational held on Saturday.

Elkins High School’s Letitia Propst captured the Mountain State Forest Festival Invitational finish Saturday at Davis & Elkins College. Propst, the defending Class AAA individual champion, finished the course in a time of 21:50. Hampshire won the team title with 60 points, followed by North Marion 72, Fairmont Senior 117, Charleston Catholic 146 and Berkeley Springs 148 to round out the top five. EHS finished seventh. Other Tiger finishers included Chelesi White (19th, 25:06), Cora Fry (21st, 25:12), Elizabeth Proudfoot (70th, 29:35), Whitney Lambert (73rd, 29:35), 74th Rachel Burky (30:01) and Maggie Jones (83rd, 30:50). Stephanie Barlow finished seventh to lead Buckhannon-Upshur. Berkeley Springs won the boys’ race with a score of 100, followed by Hampshire 113, Philip Barbour 138, PikeView 139 and Elkins 158. Chris Toompas finished 15th to lead the Colts. Ben Proudfoot led the Tigers with a ninth-place showing.
