76th birthday
MYRTLE CARR
Myrtle M. Sites Carr, a resident of North, will celebrate her 76th birthday today. She was born in Norton in 1933 to Fred L. and Margaret Bennett Bodkins. She was married to the late Elwood N. Sites and the late Richard Carr. Mrs. Carr is the mother of Winifred Sites Lambert of Wymer and Elwood N. “Woodie” Sites II of Elkins. She has three grandchildren, Brandon Lambert and Chrissy Mullenax of Wymer and Celeste Mullennex of Whitmer. She also has one great-grandchild, Chelsea Lambert of Wymer and Norton. For many years, she was a clerk and a former owner and operator of Sites Supply Co. and postmistress for several years in Whitmer. She also worked for Family Health Service, Davis Memorial Hospital and Mullenax and Valentine’s Personal Care homes. She was the leader of the Whitmer Mountaineer 4-H Club for many years and also was a leader of the youth fellowship and Sunday school teacher at Whitmer United Methodist Church.
