Alderson-Broaddus College is enjoying one of the most successful years in the institution’s 137-year history. Not only is the college benefiting from the success of a capital campaign, but the faculty and students are experiencing enormous success in and out of the classroom.
New student enrollment at the beginning of the 2007-2008 academic year was 9 percent higher than the previous year. A-B also began the 2007-2008 fiscal year on very solid ground. Fueled by the extremely successful Renewing the Promise campaign, as of Nov. 1, 2007, the campaign had reached the $18.6 million level, exceeding the June 2008 $15 million goal.
The campaign has been a four-year effort to expand educational opportunities for the students, strengthen the campus environment, and build institutional capacity at A-B College.
Recently, renovations were made to Wilcox Chapel and Erickson Alumni Center and the campus was beautified by an extensive grounds project.
