The old saying goes, it’s not the years in your life but the life in your years. Because the saying is old, there must be some kind of truth to it, right? The stories in this special section are all about adding life to your years. Whether it is going on a trip or having breakfast with friends, seniors these days are all about getting out and living it up. An area senior makes it his goal to run more than more than 2,000 miles by the end of the year. His story is in this section. His determination is one of the things that keep him going at the age of 63. Getting out of the house every morning is hard when it’s for work or school. A group of men in Elkins get up and out around 7:30 every morning to enjoy each other’s company and a few cups of hot java. According to them, their friendships are a secret to longevity.
