Warriors look to carry momentum into ’09
2009 POCAHONTAS?COUNTY?WARRIORS
The Warriors, who were ranked in the top five of the Class A poll all of last season, finished the regular season with an 11-0 record.
After defeating Big Creek in the opening round of the 2009 playoffs, Pocahontas County was eliminated by Madonna in the second round. Its win over Big Creek was the Warriors’ first-ever home playoff game.
“Having a playoff game at home was big for the program, the school and the community,” said Pocahontas County coach Mike Knisely. “We had a lot of support from everyone last season.”
