Language arts, physical education, the performing and fine arts were listed in the 15 worse majors to choose when you go to college. The placement rate for these occupations were less than 15%. No. 1, anthropology and archeology. Humanities and liberal arts, social sciences and law and public policy–generally have higher unemployment rates.
health care, business, and the STEM fields (science, technology, engineering and math) have been more stable and higher paying. If you have a degree in one of the fields I mentioned, then expect to spend a lot time searching for a job or sitting in the unemployment line. Technology based careers are the hottest fields to enter now, and very likely to stay that way from here on out. Miss out on that, and all you have is bragging rights to a dead end degree.
