We can thank the government and its drug prohibition for the rise in use of the so-called designer drugs that can cause more harm than the drugs they're intended to replace. "Spice" and "K2" wouldn't exist if Cannabis were not illegal. Cocaine and, yes even ******, were not a crime problem when they were available over-the-counter...and kids weren't attracted to them. Addiction rates have remained constant which is proof that Prohibition has no effect on reducing use yet makes "drugs" exciting for young people to experiment. The government really has no Constitutional authority or moral right to dictate what consenting adults choose to ingest.
