I am 60 years old and this snow storm was nothing new. I remember a lot of days when I waded snow to my waste and temperatures well below zero. Once, when I was a kid, the city of Buckhannon piled snow in the middle of Main Street that was so high, you couldn't see the trucks on either side of the street. One other time, southern Upshur County was hit with a snow so deep, there were stranded cars on Rt. 20 that they didn't know were there until the snow melted. The only thing different about this one was the fact that the power company has let the power grid fall into such a state of disrepair, it knocked out power that wouldn't have been affected had they kept up their rights of way. It's only going to get worse as the CEO's of these companies steal them blind and then go to find another victim of their greed.
