Public education is a joke. It's filled with political agendas, special interest projects and government intervention that hinders the education process with political mandates that require them to teach nonsense subjects dealing with homosexuality, diversity and tolerance.

Get rid of the garbage, and get back to the basics and children will learn and be prepared for life after school. When 30% of the students leaving high school can't make change, read properly and are unable to do simple math, something is very wrong. No wonder West Virginia ranks near the bottom and has done so for several years.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to look back at the education process in pre-liberal days and see where we went wrong.

Very true article. Liberals thinking that teachers can teach several different groups of classes at same time is ridiculous as they cannot teach the ones who need more help now. Any parent that really cares about their childs education should let them know that this is not acceptable and if they continue....we'll continue pulling children out of public education altogether; homeschool them.....they get a way better education that way. Every year the reports on public, private and homeschooled kids proves that homeschooled kids score higher in every area of learning. And private schools come in next. Any doubts as to how throwing more money at public education is wasteful and futile?????
