Is absolutely shameful that we hear almost daily of judges/politicians/police officers/priests/pastors, etc...teachers doing this sort of perverted acts on those they have authority and power over. They all deserve, if convicted and found guilty, a DOUBLE sentence because people in authority should be held at a higher standard of conduct. Of course, unless we agree to remove the one character "politician" from the'll find no politician/legislature to pass such a bill.

Finally, it appears SOMETHING we can all agree on for persons GUILTY of such dispicable acts.

Don't hold your breathe though waiting for our leaders to make stiffer penalties for those in authority....and that includes teachers (lately this number is rising dramatically in WV) that take advantage of the ones they have power/authority over.

I cant help but ask where was the supervisors while this lewd act was taking place. Obviously not supervising. Was it a staffing issue? I hear they are short staffed often. Why was this male officer alone with a female Inmate? According to the ****wvrja**** website TVRJ is primarily staffed by female correctional officers. Where were these female officers?

in my personal opinion the blame lies on the shoulders of jail administrator scott villers and sgt micheal wayne. As far as i can tell villers will pretty much hire any one with a heart beat. Maybe if the time was taken to actually research the guards being hired you wouldn't always see stories like this. trust me this isn't the first time this has happened at tvrj. its normally just covered up and the public never knows. 90% of the guards at tvrj a good honest people. its the higher ups that a corrupt and abuse their power.the best part is if an officer wants to do the right thing and report the higher in rank officer. the claim is dismissed and the reporting officer is fired for one bullsh*t reason or another. again in my own personal opinion sgt wayne is a violent sadistic man who abuses his power to the fullest extent. most inmate abuse can be traced right back to him. something needs to change in the regional jail system. the wrong people are in charge.this is again is an opinion

All the opinions on here really don't matter. The truth will come out. And if he's guilty, he should go to prison himself. But if it's true he finally admitted his guilt....then sorry you two posters; he wouldn't be admitting something he didn't do would he?? Sounds like he told on himself if that's true.

Making threats in here doesn't 'help' your case one bit. If you're the're only hurting your son; not helping.

We live in a time where everthing can be recorded. The state legislature should make a law that requires all police personnel to wear body cameras. This would bring the truth out in all situations.
