Sol- I am saying that the AEP news release shows that they are rebuilding infrastructure not b/c of plant closures, but b/c of its age. Thus in my estimate, the IM is being intellectually dishonest by trying to make the war on coal tie.

Tru- What lies? I am using AEP's own words to make the points. See these articles for verification: **** s://ww w.appalachianpower.c om/info/news/viewRelease.asp x?releaseID=1419 and htt p://ww m/daily/power-compan y-contradicts-itself-on-epa-rules-20110615

Note: There are spaces in the websites in a effort to get them to fully appear on here.

Coal is bad for the environment, harmful to the people who work with/near it, and a limited resource. It's not rocket science people.

wvyahoo...lies only prove you're not a reliable person to believe anything and proves your obvious uncrediblility in the future on any topic. That is why when a screaming, red-faced, vein-popping, stubborn, ignorant, tantrum squirming leftwing nut starts lying.....everyone around them completely shuts them out and stops listening.

No one believes the left's lies anymore.....or haven't you heard???

Bwahaha...liars/deceivers lead pathetic lives...and no wonder. Bring it upon themselves. Grow up. The 5 year old shows are really pathetic.

The last sentence in the prior psot should be: So please, stop the hyperbolic panic attempts you are perpetuating on the sheeple.

To attempt to link the AEP News Release to Obama's 'war on coal' is the most disingenuous thing spoken yet by the IM 'editorial' board. I am not surprised however, it is really an anti-Obama tirade sent down from Ogden HQ.

The company (AEP) is replacing equipment installed in the 1920's-40's. Maybe after 70-90 years, it is time for an equipment upgrade no? "In most cases the existing 138 kilovolt (kV) facilities that were built in the 1920s-1940s will be replaced with 138 kV lines and somewhat taller and of heavier structures that can carry more current." AEP News Release

Also, AEP thinks this, similar to the shuttering of the old plants, is good for the company. “These upgrades not only meet the immediate need to strengthen the grid, but position the region well for growth in the future.” Charles Patton, AEP Pres. and COO. “On balance, we think that is the appropriate way to go,” ex-CEO Mike Morris said of the closures on June 1, 2011.

So please, stop the hyperbolic pan
