More than 30 years later, Elkins is a small town that pretends it is Mayberry. People smile and pat each other on the back as the basic infrastructure of the town is in an absolute shambles. "What a great town!", we all say as the everyday acceptance as business as usual causes every aspect of the utilities of Elkins to dissolve just a bit. Water, sewage, garbage, and even the street sweeper, it is all a facade that is beginning to crumble into nothingness. These services mean nothing if they don't serve us all in the long run.
