My2Cents, not a problem. I was just trying to clarify what the papers role was in this. Many people don't understand why the paper would publish this story. They are just doing their part to make DUI checkpoints legal and make the roads safer.

SpoofSqueeker, you are an idiot of the highest order. I don't write the laws but at times I can explain them. Disagreeing doesn't make my statement less true.

The State Police have to publicly announce these check points and they have to stop everyone that goes through them. That is how they get around illegal search issues.

It is ironic that you would think that understanding constitutional law would make me a liberal Democrat. I am not now nor have I ever been a member of the Democratic Party. I'm just more knowledgeable than you are.

Understood, I wasn't implying it was the paper's fault, but I didn't make that clear.

Thank a liberal democrat. They think all criminals should be given the 'advantage' before arresting them. Hmm....maybe it's because they find themselves in that position so often!!

It isn't the papers doing. It is the law that these have to be publicly announced.
