Old Blue......pretending he/she/it cares about 'privacy' while at the same forked-tongue response; supporting Obama's and democrats move to INCREASE Bush's Patriot Act and allowing NSA, IRS and FBI, CIA and other govt entities to SPY on YOU and the rest of us. Priceless!

Old Blue, once again proving how stupid and hypocritical and nonsensical a liberal is! Thank you. You just keep on typing....you're making our case for us for election day!!!

The Social Security Administration has begun warning the public it cannot guarantee full benefit payments if the debt ceiling isn’t increased.

When asked by the public, the agency is notifying beneficiaries that “Unlike a federal shutdown which has no impact on the payment of Social Security benefits, failure to raise the debt ceiling puts Social Security benefits at risk,” according to a person familiar with the agency directive.

The warning was assembled after the agency consulted with the Treasury Department, which would play a lead role in determining how the government handles payments if the borrowing limit isn’t raised soon.

The "compromise" will cut $3 TRILLION from Social Security and Medicare while closing the loopholes in the tax code that the 1% use will only be $1 TRILLION. In other words Boehner is saying some thing like this

"the real enemy of the Republicans is not Obama, but American working people as a whole, and particularly the tens of millions of retired workers who rely on Social Security for their income and Medicare for their health care.

Obama will use GOP “hostage taking” as the proximate cause for caving in, saying that he had to give ground to prevent a catastrophic default that would have pushed the economy back into recession.

NEITHER one of these groups are working for the PEOPLE and that includes the teagopers as well.

Here comes that "compromise" I told you about.

“This Week,” Boehner more-or-less admitted to what was going on behind-the-scenes saying:

“Let’s look at what’s driving the problem. 10,000 baby-boomers like me retiring, every single day. 70,000 this week. 3.5 million this year. And it’s not like there’s money in Social Security or Medicare. The governments, over the last 30 years, have spent it all.”

“We know these programs are important to tens of millions of Americans, but if we don’t address the underlying problems, they are not sustainable.”

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew who appeared on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” and said, “The president remains prepared to negotiate on fiscal policy….We are happy to negotiate on reasonable policies with entitlement reform and tax reform that closes loopholes. That’s something that we would like to do.”

It would do you some good to use your time wisely and do some reading of truth in stead of that tea stuff you spew around, in the long run you will be much better for it, My ten foil hat has a BS filter built in and is capable of seeing through the propaganda that you and your kind spread around. Some times it is so powerful it knocks the BS right out of people if they come close enough,

The redrawn lines mean the greater risks to incumbents often come from within their own party, which discourages working across the aisle, said Jim Nussle, a former Republican representative and budget director under President George W. Bush.

He also cited rapid turnover during the past two election cycles that has led to “a lot of very green people who’ve never even passed an amendment” in a subcommittee and don’t understand the legislative process. “They’re not experienced legislators, they’re worried about primaries at home, and the new media is making it difficult for them to stake out any other position than the extreme position,” Nussle said. I look at this and I just shake my head,” said Nussle. “This is nothing like last time,” he said. “It’s a very naïve and ignorant understanding of how to govern.”

Rigell said the party’s predicament isn’t surprising. “We’ve essentially gerrymandered ourselves into this,” he said.

So there will be a "compromise" that in the end will involve Social Security and Medicare, This move in 2010 is what will allow it to happen....After the 2010 Census, Republicans who control the majority of state legislatures redrew many House districts to shore up vulnerable lawmakers by boosting the concentration of friendly partisan voters in their districts and packing Democrats into urban pockets. The process is called gerrymandering and both parties are adept at it.

May be it is because Republicans have already made statements like this "Lawmakers frustrated with the Tea Party’s outsized influence have been working behind the scenes for weeks. Ribble has spoken out during his party’s past five conference meetings to implore Boehner to redirect his party’s priorities to the entitlement programs-- Medicare and Social Security -- that pose the greatest threat to the nation’s fiscal future." Plus one of the teagopers favorites is on this committee (Budget Committee) you know which one (little Eddie Munster) Paul Ryan and we know what tea he was spewing when running along side Romney. This is what he said a few days ago "Still, Representative Paul Ryan, a Wisconsin Republican and chairman of the Budget Committee, said House leaders see talks “converging” over a spending deal and the debt ceiling. “From the get-go, we’ve wanted to get a budget agreement to grow this economy and get this debt under control,”

Here is what is really taking place with this guise of the shut down, it is actually yhe laying of a far deeper agenda.

the GOP will call a halt to its action before any money-changers get hurt. The Republicans will have shown their willingness to fight Obama. Obama will appear to be defending the people from The Republicans. And then they will both slash away at social spending, as was the intention, all along. Wait and see if this doesn't happen. Like I said before neither Party gives a rats arse about us they both work together just like the Pharisees and the Sadducees they are no different. Your beloved tea gopers are not going to help you and neither are the liberals. They talk a good talk to your face but behind your back they are doing the opposite and call it a compromise. Can you comprehend that or are you to blind to see it, I know you like that disagree button. The tea you drink is going to leave a bitter taste in your mouth.

Yes it is true there were barecades set up and they got moved but you stated that the Veterans was not allowed into the Memorial which was false. I suppose that those Republicans that shut down the Government didn't check first to see what all got closed when such actions are taken. Then again they may only think that the parts that they want shut down is all that should shut down after all it is the same mentality they have when it comes to the Constitution they will fight for certain parts of it but allow other parts such as your right to privacy be taken away with out a peep.

OLD BLUE sticking to the old tiring liberal way of DECEIT; FAILS once again to tell you all that the vets had to KNOCK DOWN President Stompy Feets barrycades that he tried to prevent them from getting in yesterday.

Some GOP congressmen showed up and broke the barrycades down and allowed the elderly vets inside.

By the way; Not ONE democrat offered to help them; but RNC offered and is paying themselves to keep the memorial open to vets.

President Stompy Feet...went after 90 some year old vets......but never did close the MLK Memorial. Racist!!!

Bwahahaha OLD BLUE is NOT a good liar as EVERYONE has seen the articles, the journalists, the dems getting angry about the Obama administration intentionally harming vets and hurting their chance of re-election AGAIN! LOLOLOL.....

TRUTH just PAINS OLD BLUE and WHAT!!

DEMS in PAIN as truth comes out about President Stompy Feet and his sidekick Harry Reid's attempts to hurt elderly 90 some year old Veterans who only wanted to see their own memorial in DC.

I don't know where you get your news from, because those Veterans were allowed in to the Memorial.Go read the article not just the headline. How old are you 10?

"Jim McLaughlin Today they were able to get in and see the memorial,” he said. “We’re hoping the same will be true tomorrow

Either you can't comprehend or you just think people will take your word for what you say, I have no problem with the truth but when you talk out your arse I will tell you about it. You spread a lot of disinformation on these threads whether on purpose or not and then on some try to paint your self as an up standing Christian,it doesn't work both ways.

Well we sure know that Democrats care very little about YOUR privacy. Obama and dems over past 5 years have spent more time/energy/money on SPYING ON CITIZENS in THIS nation more than spying on REAL enemies. Obama sees Americans as the enemy and terrorists overseas as his friends. Maybe because they are.

On another note; We always did know he cares little for our vets; today he PROVED it yet again as He and Dems in House voted NO to giving vets exemption to visit their own memorial.

President Stompy Feet refused to let those 90 some year old vets in. This guy just eeks of DISPICABLENESS & VILENESS.

Almost all of the Politicians whether Republican or Democrat will tell you one thing when they come home to pander the Public but when back in DC they do the opposite just go look at how they vote on issues and it becomes very clear. You only rag on Democrats and fail to see that it is also Republicans voting against us and doing us harm. If this bill would have passed it would have been a step in the right direction but if you notice more Republicans than Democrats voted against our right, how hard is that to understand. No where did I say that I am upholding Obama and the illegal spying, all I did was let you know that Capito cares nothing about your right either, as I said before they will tell you what you want to hear to get your vote and then vote against you when it fits their fancy. I give you facts but you deny those facts and then spout things toward me and you know nothing about me. I feel sorry for you because you are misinformed and can't even accept something that is fac

Look slayer the question was, "Where does Capito stand on privacy?" and what I posted is fact. I do agree that spying on we the People is illegal, this bill would have put a damper on it,but 134 Republicans and 83 Democrats voted against this bill. That tells me that they do not give a rats arse about our rights. Even your beloved Bachman and Paul voted against us,the 217 people that voted against us are no better than the single party that you rag on. All of this spying started in2001 and has been ramped up we have just began to hear about it because a couple of people with a conscience decided to blow the whistle one is doing time in prison and the other escaped to Russia for now. I am disappointed in Obama on a lot of things especially for not repealing the Patriot Act that is where it all began. If you have not read the Patriot Act you should do so.

Old Blue and your idiot guy in the WH now is spying on YOU and everyone and has INCREASED the act against YOUR privacy. Yet your hypocritical mind will 'accept' this!?!

You just keep proving it's not the privacy act that bothers you; it's just that it wasn't Obama that did it that time. You IGNORE what he's doing that is WORSE. He's doubling the act against privacy for citizens and you don't seem to care. What gives???

On July 24 2013 Capito voted against your right to privacy when she voted NO on HR 2397, which was to make the NSA specifically name who they wanted to collect information on and specifically why, and so did a lot of your Tea Party Candidates in the House. 94 Republicans voted for your right and 134 Republicans voted against your right, 111 Democrats voted for your right and 83 Democrats voted against your right, These are recorded FACTS.
