It may just be me, however i feel like after reading this article that all the schools are worried about are the lost hours of teaching. What about all the hours and manpower from the police, fire departments, etc that cost so much money? I think it's time the parents paid for all this cost. These kids want a Friday afternoon off from school so they pull a stunt like this! This type action has happened way too many time in all the schools in the surrounding counties. Wake up WV, start recovering your monies wasted!!!!

Magix, The idea of locking the kids up won't work, first there isn't any room in the correctional facilities to handle more kids. Second the parents are responsible for their kids until they are 18. If a kid breaks a neighbors picture window which would cost well over $400.00 to fix, the kids most likely won't have that kind of money, so the parents are the ones who pay for the new window. Even making the kids do community work on the week ends wouldn't work, they must have their free time from school. So it all comes back to who is going to pay for the fire department, police, investigators, etc( the answer is you and i the tax payers who pay their salary. WV needs to see what is happening around the state and come up with a way to punish the kids and recover the money lost. This is happening way too many times throughout the school year. Like i said the kids think it's a joke and want time off from school or they are doing it on a dare.
If these young miscreants commit adult crimes and or felonies ... then they should do be required to do adult time in jail or prison ... that might make some punk think twice before calling in a fake bomb threat so as to get a long weekend off from school ... and if WV had not created jails and prisons for the purpose of profit ... they would not be overcrowded at this point ...
