Yes, we can keep the republic

December 28, 2013

On the final day of the Constitutional Convention of 1787, a woman asked Benjamin Franklin, “Well, Doctor, what have we got — a Republic or a Monarchy?” Franklin: “A Republic, if you can keep......

Unless we defund and deflock Obamacare.......we won't keep the Republic!

Was sent this from a friend: How TRUE!

wanted to let you know that earlier today I received my “Obamacare enrollment packet” from the White House. It contained:

· An aspirin and a Band-Aid. · An ‘Obama Hope & Change’ bumper sticker · A ‘Bush’s Fault’ yard sign · A ‘Blame Republicans first, then anybody and everybody’ poster · A ‘Tax the Rich’ banner · An application for unemployment and a free cellphone · An application for food stamps · A prayer rug · A letter assigning my debt to my grandchildren · And lastly, a coupon for a machine that blows smoke up my ass. Everything was made in “China” and all directions were in Spanish. Keep an eye out. Yours should be arriving soon.

Progressivism is NOT even close to being equal with Patriotism; UNLESS....you are "patriotic" to your socialism and NOT a free Republic. I suspect THAT is the real definition What referred to while typing the not-so-clever deceit.

I laugh because Nellie, What and Joe think more highly of themselves and show the rest of us how very small-minded they truly are. Children having fun stroking each others egos. Dumb meets dumber meets dumbest. LOL.

President Stompy Feet has done more for the NRA, the Tea Party, the conservative movement and democrats switching parties and/or leaving office than any other president in history.

Thanks Obama!! Thanks liberals. The very things you all fight us about are getting even stronger BECAUSE of you! LOLOL.

OK, TruthSeeker, assuming Capito wins the republican primary, what office would she be running for?

Bigger and more wealthy billionaires have tried to beat Capito and lost horribly.

You libs thought the last dufus from Charleston was it too; Swint? Bwahaha....didn't even come close to getting a hundred votes in comparison.

Keep spending your money liberals. Waste of time!

I heard a clip of one of her speeches earlier this year and she made reference to Iraq in connection with 9/11. It was an odd throw back to the Bush era of lies and propaganda.

I'm not the least bit surprised that she's an insider trader - so many congresscritters are. And so few of them can make a respectable risotto...

The primary should be very entertaining. Thanks for the info about her opponent and his connection to the Kochs. I think the Kochs represent a threat to the WV Big Money Coal Boys so it might turn into a real brawl. If Capito survives, I don't think she has a chance in the general. You are so right...she cannot be believed.

Thanks for clearly that up for me, Joe. Capito is "all in".

Do you have any ideas as to why Capito would go for the Senate now other than the Rockefeller resignation?

You really have the inside scoop on this and I'd appreciate learning more about this very important race.

You are so right...it's a bad time to be a republican.

Joe, a couple of questions...is Capito required to resign from the House to run for the Senate? If not, is she being challenged for her House seat? Why did she decide to run for the Senate? As you said, she is going to be clobbered on both sides. I think the Kochs have a very special interest in WV and having another one of their stooges in the Senate would be very destructive. What's your take on the Kochs in WV? My sense is that it will be Big Coal backing Capito versus the big money Koch candidate.

I agree with you, Joe. Capito is a relic and cannot put a sentence together which doesn't sound like right wing gibberish. Tennant is a progressive and wants to see WV grow and prosper. Her business friendly message will resonate with republicans who are fed up with their own Just-Say-No politicians.

Really, solutions? That's all you've got? A few middle school taunts? What's the matter. Are you too afraid to go to Media Matters to watch a video which mocks the "War on Christmas" fiction?

David Brock referred to himself in an Esquire article as "A Right Wing Hitman" and was responsible for many of the destructive attacks on the Clintons. He did grow a conscience and started Media Matters. The point is that he definitely knows how the right wing media manipulates people like you, solutions.

solutions, you continue to take the bait. The MM "end of the war on Fox" meme has been out there since last year. It is more conservobot wishful thinking. In case you did not notice, this IM article is "warning" all you so-called conservative readers against reading MM; clearly, you do whatever you are told.

I checked MM this morning to see what all the fuss is about and I definitely recommend reading end-of-year analysis and watching this very funny video (excerpt):

VIDEO: A 'War On Christmas' Story The "War on Christmas" isn't real. It's a fiction: make-believe manufactured and sustained by a noisy conservative echo chamber in order to perpetuate a culture war and keep their base trapped in the bubble. The only way to really deal with the hysteria around it is to have a bit of fun.

Nellie, you're behind the curve because MM laid down its arms in its "war" against Fox. You, however, continue to fight. You're like a Japanese soldier on a remote Pacfic island.

As for going to MM to see how "great" it is, that's ridiculous.

The fact that you think MM is correct in all things explains why you are so far out there. You need to re-evaluate your intellectual honesty.

What, you need to do more research on Soros. He defines the term "money-grubbing" and he's a dyed in the wool socialist. Turn on your brain and read some of his books.

How am I behind the curve, solutions? I share WMW's opinion of Soros and as far as any one person representing a threat to a country, it is Rupert Murdoch.

Media Matters is an invaluable resource. This is a Wiki excerpt, but if that source doesn't satisfy, I recommend going to MM site itself:

Media Matters for America defines "conservative misinformation" as "news or commentary presented in the media that is not accurate, reliable, or credible and that forwards the conservative agenda".

Media Matters analyzes the dominant American news sources including NBC, ABC, CBS, PBS, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, and Fox News Channel. Its techniques include content analysis, fact checking, monitoring, and comparison of quotes or presentations from media figures to primary documents such as Pentagon or Government Accountability Office reports.

What, of course you like Soros. He's responsible for most of the trouble around the world. He loves going into a country and trying to install himself as dictator. He's trying to do that here, but it won't work. Unlike some other countries, people here know him for what he is. It doesn't come as any surprise that you'd adore him. Like minded fools often share similar mentalities.

nellie, you're a little behind the curve.

Ever hear of George Soros? He puts up substantial sums to support Media Matters. You must share Soros' values.

Anyway, earlier this month, the Washington Times reported:

"A group affiliated with leftist billionaire George Soros that had declared a war on Fox News now has called off the dogs, saying the network is no longer a threat.

“It’s not just that [the war is] over, but it was very successful,” Media Matters Executive Vice President Angelo Carusone said to The Huffington Post. “To a large extent, we won.”

Of course, Soros and Media Matters didn't win anything. Fox maintains a substantial lead on MSNBC and CNN.

Caruson's statement is so typical of liberals. When they lose, they lie to make it seem as if they have won.

What do you think, nellie?

Talk about conservobot "Red Flags"...Media Matters is the watch dog site which keeps tabs on FoxNoise Lies. And it is a full time job.

Shelly Moore Capito has spent her career in the House pandering to her low-info republican base and now has to campaign in a state-wide senatorial election. For all you republicans who believed her to be your Champion, listen very closely to what she's going to be telling the voters in the state.
