Facts: Janice and Andy Wamsley live in Valley Bend not Valley Head! Fact: Andy Wamsley was a former Randolph County Commissioner - has nothing to do with this article! Fact: To say they attribute damage to their property and the death of some (again I repeat some???) of their livestock to exposure to raw sewage...prove it, I can say a lot of things, but without proof, its just words. Fact: Sue Hinzman lives in Valley Bend not Valley Head Fact: The old system (put in the 1930's) is 80 + years old!!! Fact: What drain lines still work after 80 + years??? Fact: Valley Bend grew out of a swamp Fact: Valley Bend had ditches in front of a lot of the homes...put them back and I'll bet a lot of surface water will flow to the streams. (again!!!) Fact: If people would go to the PSD MEETINGS...open to the public, then people would not be so quick to blame. Rumors: Treated raw sewage from Elkins was dumped on Andy and Janice's farm and surrounding farm for years???

It will be interesting to see where this goes. The EPA would eat an individual for breakfast for dumping raw sewage into the Tygart river, but the PSD thinks it should be allowed to do it? It sound to me like the PSD built a substandard sewage system, and now they want to dump it in the river because their system can't seem to handle it. If my septic system stopped working, do you suppose I could get a permit from the EPA to dump my waste water into the stream across the road? We need to watch this one and see if they are given approval to pollute the river.
