Subaru, well known for its all-wheel drive technology and sport utility wagon models, will provide the mountain with seven new vehicles each year. On Oct. 2, members of Snowshoe’s marketing team visited the Subaru dealership in Elkins and received the keys to three 2008 Subaru Tribeca seven-passenger vehicles, two 2008 Subaru Outback sport utility wagons and two 2008 Subaru Foresters. The vehicles will soon feature the “Official Vehicle of Snowshoe Mountain” logo.
In addition to its sponsorship of the chili cook-off, Subaru will be a named sponsor for several of Snowshoe’s classic events in both the summer and winter seasons, including Symphony Weekend, Taste of the Mountain— Food Wine and Jazz Event, Demo Days and the Cupp Run Challenge. Snowshoe will also host two Master of the Mountain events each year. A Subaru tradition, Master of the Mountain provides guests with ski and snowboard lessons from expert instructors, behind-the-scenes mountain tours and safety gear and rescue demonstrations.
Snowshoe employees will directly benefit from the Subaru partnership through the “Drive Home a Great Deal from Subaru” campaign. Full- and part-time employees, and retirees of Snowshoe Mountain in good standing will be eligible to enter the Subaru of America VIP Program. Those qualifying are able to buy or lease a new Subaru vehicle from an authorized dealership at the dealer invoice price. Subaru vehicles provide the perfect mix of luxury, durability and safety, and are an effortless match to the Snowshoe lifestyle, officials said.
