Cummings Completes U.S. Army Training at Fort Sill

    Bryant Michael Cummings, the son of Michael and Eleanora Cummings of Beaver Creek Road and a 2007 Elkins High School graduate, completed basic combat training at Fort Sill, Okla., on July 27.


    Cummings, a member of Charlie Battery 1st Battalion, 19th Field Artillery, successfully graduated after training at Treadwill Tower, a team development course, gas chamber, first aid, basic rifle marksmanship, pugil stick, hand grenades and convoy operations.


    Cummings was well known as the fastest runner out of his battalion.
