Accident Sends Glenville Woman To Hospital

November 13, 2007
By HEATHER JUDY, Staff Writer
An car accident on Cassity Road Saturday sent a Glenville woman to a Morgantown hospital.

According to Sheriff Jack Roy, the accident occurred when Janette Gear, 41, was traveling north on Cassity Road and lost control of her 1998 Chevy S10. Gear then apparently ran off of the roadway, traveled over an embankment, flipped and struck a tree. Gear was extricated from the vehicle and flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital where she is listed in stable condition, Roy said.

A passenger, Travis Steele, 28, of Glenville was taken by ambulance to Davis Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released.

Deputy B.A.Talkington is investigating the accident and charges are pending.
