The Christmas show opened Nov. 23 with 400 patrons. On Saturday, 200 people had reservations, but the show was canceled after one sprinkler head malfunctioned and sent water pouring into a portion of the auditorium.
The spokesperson said that since the mishap, the AMT had received several calls inquiring when the theater will re-open.
Resplendent with sparkling sets and colorful costumes reflecting the Christmas season, the show will feature the same multi-talented singers, comedians and back-up band that has delighted audiences since the first performance in July.
According to AMT President and Producer Kenny Sexton, the show will follow the same fast-paced, high-energy format as the flagship presentation, except that it will highlight the many facets and moods of Christmas with music and comedy skits to please everyone.
This weekend’s performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Additional shows will take place at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Dec. 15. Sunday matinees will begin at 2 p.m. on Dec. 9 and 16.
Advance reservations may be made by calling 630-3040 or 1-800-943-3670.
