Tucker’s Reopens In Time for Ski Season

December 24, 2007
By HEATHER JUDY, Staff Writer
One of Canaan Valley’s most popular pubs has reopened. The restaurant/bar welcomed guests into a newly painted, bright, cheery and polished atmosphere.

Tucker’s, which has had many names over the last several years — M.R. Bears and Coyotes — is back in the hands of its original owner, Mark Snyder. According to restaurant manager Jennifer Neelen, Tucker’s hosted an open house Dec. 6 to re-introduce the menu to local residents. Nearly 200 of those folks were served during that event. “We opened a few weeks before ski season just to get a feel for it all again, before the rush.” Neelen said.

Tucker’s will be open seven days a week from 3 p.m to 11 p.m. serving the same menu as before with steak, seafood, pasta, crab cakes and plenty of other tasty cuisine. Snyder has indicated that the restaurant may also be open for lunch during the ski season.

Tucker’s has returned to its original form with several renovations which began in September. According to Neelen, the setting is very comfortable so that people can focus on the beautiful mountain view that Canaan Valley naturally provides.
