Bella’s, located in Revelle’s River Retreat, is hosting a New Year’s Gala. The celebration lasts from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. The cover charge is $7 per person and includes free snacks, noise makers, champagne at midnight, music and dancing.
In Elkins, Beander’s will host the New Relics. The band has received various awards, plays its own songs and covers well-known songs. There will be a $10 cover charge, and those who buy tickets in advance will receive a free New Relics CD at the door. In addition to the CD, the cover charge includes party favors, free food after 10 p.m, and a champagne toast at midnight. Advance tickets are available by calling Beander’s at 636-6000.
The New Year’s bash at Lexy’s offers a champagne toast at midnight, drink specials and party favors. The cover charge is $5 and food from the menu will be available.
On the Country Club Road, the Elks Club is having a $1,000 elimination dinner and dance to bring in the new year. The AKA Band will play for the dance, food will be available throughout the night, a champagne toast at midnight and at 1 a.m. breakfast will be served. Elkins Fraternal Order of Eagles will have Karaoke from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. and a D.J. from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. The celebration is open to the public and tickets may be reserved by calling 636-9706 or by stopping by the Eagles Club. Tickets are $10 for singles and $15 for a couple. The admission price includes food, party favors and a champagne toast.
The New Year’s party at the Underground Lounge will feature music spun by a D.J. The $5 cover charge will include free food, party favors and door prizes.
At the Elkins Jaycee’s Club there will be half price drink specials from 9 p.m. to midnight. Party favors, a champagne toast and breakfast at 1 a.m. are included in the $10 cover charge. Music will be provided by the house D.J.
New Year’s is the six-year anniversary Journeez in Elkins. Journeez will celebrate by offering drink specials, free pool, party favors, a champagne toast at midnight, free snacks and no cover charge.
The Lodge at Kelly Mountain provides a local getaway for New Year’s. Dinner at the lodge will include live lobster, elk fillet and premium snow crab legs. A room or an entire cabin may be rented for the night. Some lodging packages include a surf and turf dinner for two, which includes champagne.
Calain’s Restaurant will also have a special dinner for New Year’s. For $20.08 customers may choose their own dinner combination. Those who plan to ring in the new year at Calain’s will receive party favors and champagne at midnight.
For those willing to venture out of town, Timberline, Snowshoe, Seven Springs and Canaan Valley are hosting New Year’s celebrations.
At Snowshoe, Moonshine, The Backcountry Hut, Hoots, The Connection, The Comedy Cellar, Brandi’s, The Big Top and the Split Rock Pool will all have New Year’s activities.

At Canaan Valley, adults can spend New Year’s in the Laurel Lounge/Maple Room in Canaan Valley’s Lodge. The party is from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. and features entertainment by W.A.N. Guests will receive party favors and light snacks. Those attending do not need to make reservations, and may pay at the door. The cover charge is $25 per couple and $15 per person.
The whole family can ring in the New Year at Canaan, also. The family activities include a buffet dinner, a dance, games and activities for the kids, party favors and a punch toast at midnight. Outside Pittsburgh, Seven Springs Resort, has six different New Year’s parties to choose from. Admission to all lounge areas is covered by a $15 per person charge.
Seven Springs also has a family friendly New Year activity, the Family Snow Tubing Party and Bonfire. From 10:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. families can enjoy pizza, hot dogs, soda and hot chocolate. In Davis, Timberline’s New Year festivities include a buffet dinner, two live bands, dancing, party favors, cash bar and midnight snacks. The charge is $45.95 per couple, $25.95 per person and $15.95 for children younger than 12. Reservations may be made by calling 1-800-SNOWING.
For those not wanting to drive home after a night of celebrating, the ski resorts have lodging on their premises or nearby. Also, the Holiday Inn in downtown Elkins still has rooms available for New Year’s Eve.
