McCartney - Herron

Elizabeth Herron and Raymond McCartney were married on June 14 while vacationing with family and friends in South Nags Head, N.C. The double-ring ceremony was performed on the beach by the Rev. Chuck Vorderberg, pastor of the Belington Presbyterian Church which the couple both attend.

The bride was escorted to the beach by her oldest son and daughter-in-law, R.J. and Nicole, middle son, Nicholas, and youngest son, Michael. Her grandson Trei served as ring bearer and grandson Bryson carried bubbles for the guests.

The bride is the daughter of Francis and Betty Wilson of Belington. She is a graduate of Philip Barbour High School and is employed by the Department of Justice.

The bridegroom is the son of Raymond and Phyllis McCartney and the late Wanda McCartney. He is a graduate of Buckhannon-Upshur High School and employed by Weyeraeuser Trus Joist.

The new couple resides in Upshur County.
