Belington Clinic Announces New Board Members

Belington Community Medical Services Association Inc. (BCMSA) board of directors has announced the election of Larry Simpson and Darla Goff to the board.

Simpson is a 1969 graduate of Philip Barbour High School and is currently employed as a school bus operator for Barbour County Schools. He serves as secretary and treasurer of the Valley Bend Cemetery Fund where he has also served as trustee. Simpson is a deacon at Valley Bend Baptist Church and has served as trustee and treasurer. He resides in Belington with his wife, Judy. In his spare time he enjoys farming, gardening, hunting, fishing and being with his family.

Goff is a 1983 graduate of Philip Barbour High School and Barbour County Vocational Center business program, and is currently a housewife and community volunteer. She is a member of the Barbour County 4-H Leaders and is the current leader of the Belington 4-H Club. She has also served as a member of the Barbour County Livestock Association. Additionally, she was a Home and Garden Party representative and worked for Shop-N-Save, Bucklew's restaurant and Dr. Milem. Goff says she enjoys volunteering her time to help youth and the elderly and being with her family. Her hobbies include flower gardening and home decorating. She resides in Belington with husband, David, and daughter, Mikala.

BCMSA President Joey Kaiser said, "We are excited to have Larry and Darla join the board. They both know this community so well and will bring a new perspective to the work we are doing at the Belington Clinic, Belington Wellness Center and Brandon Wellness Center."

Other members of the BCMSA board are Cathy Shelton, vice president; Andy Suder, secretary; Michael Talbott, treasurer; and Ron Jones, Donna Ender and Ed Collier. Emeritus board members are Muriel Everson, Cecil Stewart, Sister Teresa Reddington and the late Oliver England. Eric Ruf serves as the executive director of BCMSA.
