Margo Blevin and David Alan Denton Jr. were married on June 14 at the Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church in Elkins.
The bride is the daughter of the late Isadore Schnee, M.D., F.A.C.S., of Paterson, N.J., and the late Zelda Schnee Chawkin of Boca Raton, Fla. She earned a bachelor's of fine arts degree in sculpture at Tyler School of Art of Temple University, and an MAT at West Virginia Wesleyan College. She retired in 2006 after 26 years as director of the Augusta Heritage Center of Davis & Elkins College.
The bridegroom is the son of the late David Alan Denton and the late Mildred Sinclair Denton, of Louisville, Ky. He earned his bachelor of science degree in commerce at the University of Louisville, graduating from Cleveland State University with an master of science degree in urban studies. He retired in 1993 after a 30-year career with the American Red Cross and is now a certified massage therapist.

Their marriage was presided over by the Revs. Mel Hoover and Rose Edington of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Charleston. The bride was escorted by her sons, John Blevin of Parsippany, N.J., and Scott Blevin of Oklahoma City, Okla. Her dress was created by Miss Connie Linger of Elkins, and she wore a headdress by her daughter, Jane Blevin, a printmaker and fabric designer.
The wedding party included all six of the couple's combined offspring as well as nine of their 16 grandchildren. The groom's attendants were his daughter, Karyn Denton Baldassari of Westlake, Ohio, and Jack Ruck of Louisville, Ky. The maids of honor were Jane Blevin of Los Angeles, Calif., and the bride's sister, Wendy Geisler, of San Antonio, Texas. Preceding the bride down the aisle were her granddaughters, Annacler Harris-Blevin of Newark, N.J., Sarah Harris-Blevin of Elkins, Jill Blevin, Amanda Blevin, Jessica Macias and Jennifer Macias Wanner, along with the bride's grandson, Alex Blevin, and his fiance, Krystle Slater, all from Oklahoma City, Okla.; her son John Blevin and daughter-in-law D'Ann Harris-Blevin, of Parsippany, N.J.; her son Scott Blevin and daughter-in-law, Jennifer Blevin, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; the bridegroom's grandson, Adam Baldassari of Westlake, Ohio; and the groom's granddaughter, Tatum Denton of Wilmette, Ill. Ushers included the bridegroom's sons, David Alan Denton III of Wilmette, Ill., and Neal Denton of Alexandria, Va.; and the bride's brother-in-law, Philip Geisler of San Antonio, Texas.
During the ceremony, the bride's sister, Wendy Geisler, sang a selection in Hebrew from "The Song of Songs." Barbara Carter, a friend of the couple, gave a reading written by the bride and bridegroom. Music before and during the ceremony was provided by Gerry Milnes on fiddle and John Lilly on the guitar.
A reception followed the ceremony at Halliehurst Mansion on the campus of Davis & Elkins College. Pre-reception music was provided by Michael and Carrie Kline. Music for dancing was provided by Tracy Schwarz and the Cajuneers, with guests Ginny Hawker and John Lilly, followed by the Elktones and others. The wedding coordinator was Jane Birdsong.
Following the wedding, the couple went to Marietta, Ohio, and spent several weeks visiting historic sites in the region.
They reside in the Glenmore area of Elkins.
