Ashley Leigh Kennedy and William Roger England were married on June 21 in the Church of the Covenant LutheranPresbyterian Church of Grafton. The Rev. Douglas Hogan, Pastor of the Living Waters Church of Philippi, officiated the wedding.
The music for the ceremony was provided by the bride's father, Rick Kennedy, and Betty Rose Morrison of Grafton. Leo Roe was the soloist for the ceremony.
The bridal party consisted of maid of honor Elizabeth Sweet, who is a longtime friend and neighbor of the bride. Matron of honor was Connie Booth, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids included the bride's cousins, Madison Sepp, Olivia Brady and Mackenzi Woolsey from Aliquippa, Pa.

The best man was Scott Gills, friend of the bridegroom. Other groomsman included the bridegroom's cousins, Matt Knotts, Colin Knotts and and Tim Kennedy of Alexandria, Va., the bride's uncle. Junior groomsman was Jonathan Knotts.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rick Kennedy. Her maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Woolsey of Aliquippa, Pa. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Smith of Alexandria,Va. are her paternal grandparents.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William England of Philippi. His stepparents are Linda England of Buckhannon and Bob Baker of Atlanta, Ga. Special friends and mentors to the bridegroom are Carla and Matt Knotts. His maternal grandparents are Charles and Barbara Wratchford and his paternal grandparents are William England and Lucille Swiger.
The bride wore her mother's wedding gown.
The chiffon gown of re-embroidered lace featured a Queen Anne neckline, full bishop sleeves, empire silhouette skirt and watteau train. A lace caplet held her chapel mantilla.
The bride carried a handkerchief borrowed from Karen Metzler of Marco Island, Fla. She wore the antique necklace that her mother wore in her wedding.
Following the wedding, friends were received for a reception at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Philippi.
The couple honeymooned on Marco Island, Fla.
The bride is a graduate of Philip Barbour High School and the Clarksburg Beauty Academy. The bridegroom is a graduate of Lincoln High School in Atlanta, Ga., and is employed as a certified nursing assistant at Broaddus Hospital.
The couple resides in Philippi.
