Sarah Elisabeth Grove of Red Lion, Pa., and the Rev. Allen Michael Schwarz of Davis were married on May 17 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church York, Pa., by the Rev. Kevin Shively and Bishop Ralph Dunkin.
The bride is the daughter of Elizabeth and Franklin Grove Jr. of Red Lion, Pa. She is the granddaughter of Fairie and the late Franklin Grove Sr. and Madelyn and the late John Metzel Jr. She is a 2007 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pa., with a master's degree in social work. She is currently employed by Family and Children's Services in York, Pa., as a family therapist.
The groom is the son of Susan and George Schwarz Jr. of Charleston. He is the grandson of Carrie and George Schwarz Sr. and the late Howard and Vivian Morris. He is a graduate of the Lutheran Theological Seminary, Philadelphia, Pa., with a master's degree in divinity. He is the current pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church in Davis.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
Matron of honor was Tina Ulp of State College, Pa. Bridesmaids were Denise Myers of Dallastown, Pa., and Amanda Seifert of York, Pa. Junior attendant was Alyssabeth Campbell of Williamsport, Pa. Flower girl was Emily Rae Grove of Red Lion, Pa., daughter of the bride.
The best man was John Rose of Christiansburg, Va. Groomsmen were Greg Merkel of Waxhaw, N.C., and James Maschmeier of Evans, Ga. Ushers were Franklin Grove III and Corey Stubbs.
A reception was at the 18th Century Barn-Chestnut Ridge in York, Pa. A buffet-style meal was catered by Gingerbabies with music and dancing.
After a honeymoon to New York City, N.Y., the couple will reside in Davis.
