Lynda P. Talbott

Lynda Paulette Cunningham "Robin" Talbott, 58, a resident of Summit Street, Elkins, departed this life Friday evening, April 3, 2009, at her home. She had been in declining health.

She was born Friday, May 19, 1950, at Richwood, a daughter of the late Sebert L. Cunningham and Beulah Davis Cunningham.

On Oct. 1, 1983, at Beverly, she was married to William Karl "Willie" Talbott, who survives.

Also surviving are one stepson, Aaron Talbott and Ruthann of West Mifflin, Pa.; two brothers, Richard Cunningham and wife, Geraldine, of Craigsville and William Cunningham and wife, Shirley, of Richwood; a half brother, Bobby Roach of Florida; two sisters, Delores Propst and husband, Jim, of Parsons and Betty Scott and husband, James, of Richwood; and two stepgrandchildren, Clare and Eliott Talbott.

Preceding her in death was one infant daughter, Jerri Dawn; and one sister, Janet Goff.

She attended the schools of Nicholas County, had worked as a coal miner for Laurel Run and Kitt Energy before becoming disabled from a mining accident. She was an avid reader, a doll collector, enjoyed motorcycle riding and had a great love for animals.

Mrs. Talbott's request for cremation was honored. A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, at the First Baptist Church at Elkins with the Rev. Dr. Marvin L. Parli officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date at the Maplewood Cemetery.

The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to the Randolph County Humane Society, P.O. Box 785, Elkins, W.Va. 26241 or to the Saint Joseph Indian School, Chamberlain, S.D. 57326. Lohr & Barb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Lynda Paulette Cunningham "Robin" Talbott.
