By ALEC RADER, Staff WriterMore than $16,000 worth of ecstacy tablets were found in the possession of three out-of-state residents June 16 when they were stopped by the Kingwood detachment of the West Virginia State Police.
Sergio Llovio, 20, of Alexandria, Va.; Jordan Baker, 21, of Laurel, Md.; and Melissa Kruse, 20, of Bel Air, Md., were charged with possession with intent to deliver. According to the criminal complaint filed in the Preston County Magistrate Court, eight bags containing 677 pills were found in the 2001 Ford Focus owned by Kruse. The trio was pulled over on a traffic violation at 10:44 p.m. Reedsville K-9 Eddo was called to the scene when the arresting officer noticed Llovio began "acting nervously and had trouble finding the vehicle registration."
The K-9 indicated three times a blue and gray backpack and a pink mirror. The ecstacy was found in the backpack by the state trooper. Arresting officer Trooper L.R. White asked the occupants to whom the pills belonged and no one claimed ownership. Upon being placed in transport cruisers, Llovio admitted to ownership of the pills.
