Elkins woman cited for failure to maintain control

The Randolph County Sheriff's Department investigated a single-vehicle accident Monday around 11 p.m. at Montrose.
Hope M. Anderson, 31, of Elkins was traveling north on U.S. 219 in a 1997 Plymouth Breeze when she struck a guard rail and utility pole before stopping in a lawn, Sheriff J.D. Roy said. Anderson was cited for failure to maintain control.
Anderson was transported to Davis Memorial Hospital by Randolph County EMS and her vehicle was towed from the scene. Leading Creek Fire Department assisted the Sheriff's Department.
