Eugene Brewer

Eugene Brewer, 60, of Mill Creek, entered into eternal rest Thursday, Aug. 6, 2009.

He was born Wednesday, July 6, 1949, at Mill Creek, a son of the late John D. and Ethel Edith Moore Brewer.

Eugene returned home to West Virginia 15 years ago. Before becoming disabled from a logging accident several years ago, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and being in the great outdoors. John loved to read the Bible.

On July 11, 1998, in Valley Bend, he married the former Rebecca Louk, who survives in Mill Creek.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by stepmother, Barbara Catherine Hannah Brewer; one sister, Sheila Brewer Wright; and one brother, Lewis Brewer.

His survivors include his wife, Rebecca Louk Brewer of Mill Creek; one daughter, Tracy Brewer of St. Louis, Mo.; three sons, Robert Brewer of St. Louis, Mo., Rodney Brewer of Mill Creek and Eugene Paul Wymer of Durbin; six sisters, Connie Brewer Walker of Cold Creek, Colo., Evelyn Brewer Johnson of Alabama, Patricia Gumm of Staunton, Va., Sandra Moyer of Blue Grass, Va., Carol Greenlee of Pt. Pleasant and Wanda Losch of Mt. Soloan,Va.; seven brothers, Larry Brewer of Beverly, Don Brewer of Mill Creek, John Brewer of Durbin, Paul Brewer of Pennsylvania, Duncan Brewer of Durbin, Tommy Brewer of Marlinton and Wayne Brewer of Bartow; one stepdaughter, Sylvia Barb of California; one stepson, Jamie Barb of Mill Creek; several grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Eugene's wishes, he will be cremated and his ashes will be scattered in the mountains of West Virginia
