The Harman Pioneer Memorial Public Library has plans to once again participate in the Tour of Davis - Run For It event and is searching for community members to join its team.

To join the team, a registration form must be filled out and returned to the Tucker Community Foundation office at 501 Chestnut St. in Parsons. Team Pioneer must be specified on the entry form. Registration forms are available at the library or online at www.tuckerfoundation.net.

To sponsor Team Pioneer with an additional contribution, specify Team Pioneer on the memo line of a check or money order. One-hundred percent of all sponsorship funds will go directly toward a new library addition.

Those who cannot attend the event may still be a part of the library's effort to raise money to fund Pioneer Memorial's new addition which will house a quiet area for reading and research, a browsing area with comfortable seating and a meeting room with multimedia capacity.

All entries must be received by Sept. 15 for the library to be eligible for donation awards.

Run For It is a community fundraiser organized by the Tucker Community Endowment Foundation.

It is intended to benefit nonprofit groups in Barbour, Preston, Pocahontas, Randolph, Grant and Tucker counties.
