Roy and Sharon Carr of Buckhannon announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Sheri Lynn Carr, to Cameron Ashely Crisp, son of Ronald and Peggy Crisp of Everetts, N.C., and Gail Crisp of Stokes, N.C.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Milford and the late Edna Holbert, Mary Ellen Carr of Buckhannon and the late Alfred Carr. She is a graduate of Buckhannon-Upshur High School and Glenville State College with a bachelor's degree in teaching. She is also a graduate of Marshall University with a master's in teaching. She is employed by Upshur County Schools.
Her fiance is the father of two children, Murphy, 10, and Paige, 8. He is the grandson of the late Johnny and Estelle Crisp, Nellie Fae Bullock of Stokes, N.C., and the late James Hazel Bullock. He is a graduate of North Pitt High School in Bethel, N.C., and Wayne Community College with a degree in forest management. He also attended East Carolina University majoring in biology. He is employed by the Monongahela National Forest as the Interagency Fire Dispatch Center manager for the Central Appalachian Dispatch Center.
CAMERON CRISP AND SHERI CARR
The couple were engaged last Thanksgiving Day at the home of the bride-elect's grandmother in front of all the family. A fall wedding is planned for Oct. 17 on the church grounds at River Church of Christ in Buckhannon near Mt. Nebo. The couple plans to honeymoon in Montana to visit Yellowstone and Glacier national parks.
