The Inter-Mountain

Jamie Leigh Schoonover and Drew Clinton Pingley were married at 5 p.m. on June 6 at the First United Methodist Church in Elkins. The Rev. Dr. Ellis E. Conley officiated.

The bride was escorted to the altar and given in marriage by her mother, Julie Schoonover. The bride wore an ivory Jasmine Couture Collection V-neck empire waist, A-line Italian satin gown with Italian lace trim adorned with Swarovski crystals at the bodice and edge hem.

Attending as her maid of honor was Chelsea Metheny, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Brittany Elmore, Brooke Shields, Heidi McFadden and Monica Shaffer, all friends of the bride. Their gowns from the Bella Formal bridesmaid collection by Venus featured spaghetti straps and were made of cerise duchess satin. Junior bridesmaids were Tess Betler, cousin of the bride, and Katie Gaddy and Zoe Pingley, nieces of the bridegroom. Their gowns, from the same Bella Formal bridesmaid collection by Venus, were black with cerise trim.

Vinnie Zummo, the bridegroom's brother, served as best man. Groomsmen were Steve Harvey, Nick Patella, Jeremy Bodkins and Tommy Cohen, all friends of the bridegroom. Junior groomsmen were Colby Gaddy, Noah Gaddy and Gabe Zummo, nephews of the bridegroom. Dominic Zummo, nephew of the bridegroom, served as ring bearer. Ushers were Tim Pingley, brother of the bridegroom, and Stephen Dye, friend of the bridegroom.

All floral arrangements and bouquets were designed by JoJo's Florists. Music for the ceremony was provided by Mountain Aire Strings from Elkins.

Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance reception was hosted at Orchard Hall. The wedding cake was designed by Suzanne Carter and music for the evening was provided by DJ Michael Kuhn.

After a honeymoon cruise to the Bahamas, the couple resides in Stonewood.

Mr. and Mrs. David Pingley, parents of the bridegroom, hosted a rehearsal dinner the evening before at Graceland.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Elkins High School. She graduated from Alderson-Broaddus College in May 2009 with a master's degree in physician assistant studies.

The bridegroom is a 2005 graduate of Elkins High School and a 2009 graduate from Alderson-Broaddus College with a bachelor of science degree in nursing.
