Georgia Scott of Mill Creek will celebrate her 80th birthday Saturday at the senior center in Mill Creek.
Mrs. Scott was born in Randolph County to Blain and Fannie McCollam. She was married to Elmer Scott Sr., who is deceased.
Mrs. Scott is retired from Randolph County Schools where she was a cook. She had also worked at Reidboard Brothers of Elkins.
Mrs. Scott is the mother to five daughters, Virginia "Ginny" Dumire and husband, Ed, of Beverly, Connie Hinzman and husband, Ted, of Greenwood, S.C., Lena "Twinkles" Scott, Nykeea "Nicki" Gum and Kathy Shreve and husband, Randy, all of Mill Creek; and one son, Elmer Scott Jr. and wife, Denise, of Charlottesville, Va. She also has 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to Mrs. Scott's birthday celebration at the senior center from 1 p.m. to 3 pm. Saturday. The family asks that gifts be omitted, but cards are welcome. Cards may be mailed to: Georgia Scott, Route 1 Box 77, Mill Creek, W.Va. 26280.
