Matewan resident is Forest Festival princess

Meghan Cea Daniels of Matewan has been appointed by West Virginia Culture and History Commissioner Randall Reid-Smith as a princess in the royal court of the 73rd Mountain State Forest Festival.
She is the daughter of Dan and Beth Daniels of Matewan and the granddaughter of Elmer and Rebecca Daniels of Matwan and Charles "Eddie" Hilbert and Carol Ross of Delbarton. She has one brother, Camryn.
A 2008 graduate of Magnolia/Matewan High School, Daniels graduated in the top 10 in her class. She was president of High School Honor Society. She was crowned Miss Teen International 2008 and was a delegate to the Democrat Convention in Charleston and served as a member of West Virginia Young Leaders for Hillary.
A sophomore at Marshall University, she majors in criminal justice and French. She is a member of Alpha Zi Delta. Her future plans include attending West Virginia University School of Law. Her hobbies include pageantry, yoga and horseback riding.
