Parkersburg resident is Forest Festival princess

Megan Elizabeth Gyongyosi of Parkersburg has been appointed by state Treasurer John Perdue as a princess in the royal court of the 73rd Mountain State Forest Festival.
She is the daughter of Thomas and Julie Gyongyosi of Parkersburg and the granddaughter of Laszlo and Eva Gyongyosi of Albuquerque, N.M. She has one brother, Nicholas.
A sophomore at Davis & Elkins College, she is an environmental science major. She is currently on the dean's list and has earned the PROMISE and Senator's scholarships. Gyongyosi is a member of the D&E cross country team and participates in leadership programs.
Her future plans include attending graduate school and employment with the national parks system.
A member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Parkersburg, she served as camp counselor at Peterkin Church Camp in Romney. Her hobbies include skiing, rowing and hiking.
