John and Alesia Wayne of Arbovale announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel, to Adam Taylor, son of Cheryl and Herb Dean of Marlinton and Bruce and Karen Taylor of Asheville, N.C.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Kenneth and Adrice King of Victory, N.Y., and the late John and Maxine Wayne. She is a 2004 graduate of Pocahontas County High School and graduated with honors in May 2008 with a bachelor's degree in health sciences and in May 2009 with a master's degree in physician assistant studies from Alderson-Broaddus College. She is employed as a physician assistant with Tri-County Health in Pocahontas County.
Her fiance is the grandson of Frances Taylor of Dunmore and the late Reuben Taylor and Pearl Ryder of Beverly and the late Cassell Ryder. He is a 2005 graduate of Pocahontas County High School and graduated from Potomac State College of West Virginia University with an associate's degree in civil engineering. He will graduate in December from West Virginia University with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. He is employed with the U.S. Forest Service in Marlinton.
