D&E offers free seminars
Davis & Elkins College will host two free seminars as part of its Alumni Homecoming/Family Weekend. Both are open to the public.
Today at 2 p.m., Drs. Kisor Chakrabarti, Robert McCutcheon and Chandana Chakrabarti will give two talks, "Self, Immortality and Freedom" and "Miracles and Power of Mind." Presented by the Center for Spirituality, Ethics and Global Awareness, the lectures will be in the Community Room of Booth Library.
On Saturday at 10 a.m., Dr. Peter Okun will lead "The Write Stuff: Toward a Culture of Writing at D&E."
Okun will be joined by recent graduates Kevin Chesser (class of 2009) and Matt McLeskey (2009) as well as current student Jennie Finnafrock for this discussion.
Sponsored by the T.R. Ross Society, the seminar will be in the Community Room of Booth Library.
The talk will be followed by a ceremony in honor of the late Dr. Thomas Richard Ross.
