Elkins High School class of 1974

The Elkins High School class of 1974 began celebrating its 35th reunion on July 24 with an informal gathering at Beander’s where several members from other EHS classes visited them. On July 25, a memorial service for 17 classmates was conducted with the dedication of a tree planted at Elkins High School in their memory, followed by a tour of EHS led by principal and class friend Dave Fincham. That evening, amid torrential rain and thunderstorms, classmates attended an outdoor dinner/dance at the home of Laura and Frank Santmyer on Country Club Road, and an early morning seafood breakfast prepared by Tim Conklin.
