RecycleMania set for Friday at A-B
The Alderson-Broaddus College Sustainability Committee invites the Philippi community to participate in launching RecycleMania on Friday.
The college will accept the following recyclable materials from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the campus quad: phone books, old cell phones, paper and cardboard, and clear plastic bottles (No. 1s and No. 2s). Receptacles will be prominent and easily identifiable.
This effort is part of ongoing education for the campus regarding the importance of sustainability. RecycleMania is a friendly competition and benchmarking tool for college and university recycling programs to promote waste reduction activities to their campus communities.
Other activities Friday include a Recycle Mascot judging in the quad, as well as a sustainable lunch for faculty, staff and students.
Further information can be obtained by calling Dr. Tom Ditty, 304-457-6484.
